Phase 1 The Reinforced Concrete Canal Layby which commenced on 15-08-11. The Structure comprised of a reinforced concrete base 60 meters long by 2.6 meters wide and a reinforced concrete wall 60 meters long by 2.1 meters high and 300mm thick.The project programmed period was 5 week and was completed in 4 weeks 1 week ahead of program.

Phase 2 Commenced on 24-10-11. The works comprise of a new reinforced concrete landing stage, a new reinforced concrete canal base 300 mtrs long, a reinforced concrete extension to the existing capping beam which is approximately 550 mts long. 2 new reinforced concrete lock gates and canal walls. The Construction of the reinforced concrete works was completed late February 2012 on program. The canal is to be re opened on April 1st 2012 and all looks well.
